Title: Warehouse Trainer
Reports To: Warehouse Manager
Overall Focus: To lead training for new hires and existing employees while adhering to the Ainsworth’s Safe Quality Food, Safety and Food Safety Standards.
FLSA Designation: Hourly Non-Exempt
Salary Grade: 13
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES & ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
· Daily Expectations
o Performs one-on-one training of warehouse operations and WMS processes with new employees and current employees.
o Implements all training as assigned, ensuring Warehouse Operators understand safety, food safety and warehouse operation requirements.
o Trains warehouse operators against standardized training plans and work instructions to make warehouse operators multifunctional.
o Holds Warehouse Operators accountable for performance against SOPs.
o Audits the work of Warehouse Operators for adherence to training standards and SOPs.
· Ongoing Training Responsibilities
o Meets regularly with Training Coordinator to provide evaluative feedback and suggestions for program improvement.
o Leads initial orientation and serves as onboarding mentor.
o Discusses overall training plan and schedule with trainees.
o Tracks training curriculum status in COACH for each employee.
o Assists in updating the training curriculum as required.
o Maintains training receipt to be tracked in Alchemy for record retention and audit compliance.
o Ensures warehouse operators are trained on all warehouse processes.
o Audits training process for department to insure consistency to SOPs written with the job performance.
o Understands the training documentation process and tracks the completion of each trainee’s progress.
o Is responsible for all fork truck training within the warehouse.
o Effectively communicates with Warehouse Manager, Training Coordinator and Shift Supervisor.
· Equipment Operation
o Can operate a forklift with 0 accidents.
o Operation requires on and off mounting of the equipment throughout the day, and the ability to maneuver fork lift controls in a fast-paced environment.
o Is certified to train Warehouse Operators to drive a fork lift.
· Quality/ Food Safety
o Trains new and current employees on quality and food safety requirements within the warehouse.
o Ensures adherence to Ainsworth’s food safety program.
o Is responsible for reporting food safety problems to Warehouse Shift Supervisors to initiate action.
· Standard Operation Procedures (SOP)
o Can effectively train against SOPs, work instructions and job aids.
o Personally adheres to all standards operation procedures, work instructions and job aids.
o Documents improved process suggestions or quality measures and alerts Warehouse Manager and Training Coordinator of improvements.
o Follows all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s).
o Keeps work areas clean and neat.
o Ensure all buildings meet sanitization requirements.
o Adheres to sanitization procedures for warehousing.
o Contributes to our safety culture by displaying a positive, safety first behavior.
o Actively follows the Ainsworth Safety Program.
o Reports all unsafe actions, conditions and hazards in a timely manner.
o Encourages co-workers to work safely and follow safety procedures.
o Always wears required personal protective equipment (PPE)

Education/Training: High School Diploma or GED.
Certifications/Licenses: Train the Trainer, Certified to Train others on Forklift Operations.
Experience: Experience working in a warehousing facility preferred. Team leadership experience is helpful.

· Is proficient in Microsoft Office; Word, Excel, Power Point & Outlook.
